Our Favorite Things
Miami is a special place to us, and we hope you’re able to explore and enjoy all it has to offer.
Here are just a few of our favorite spots for food and fun in the Florida sun!
Places To Eat
Breakfast
Start your day right with these delicious breakfast options:
El Bagel: The best bagels in Miami!
Zak the Baker: A Wynwood institution with excellent pastries and a great breakfast menu.
Pura Vida: Unrivaled breakfast bowls, sandwiches, and smoothies (Amanda recommends the Mint Chip; Will is addicted to Omer’s Post Workout). *also great for lunch*
Carrot Express: If you're not near a Pura Vida, this is a perfectly acceptable substitute.
Lunch
Take a midday break at one of these great lunch spots:
Lido Bayside Grill: At the Standard Miami Beach, you can’t beat the vibes or the views right on the bay.
La Sandwicherie: Tremendous sandwiches; pretty self-explanatory.
Joe’s Stone Crab: A South Beach icon known more as a dinner spot but has the same great menu and takeout options during the day.
Dinner
We organize our time in Miami around where we’re going to dinner. Here are some go-to’s. If the below list doesn’t do it for you, there are plenty of other spots
Doma: Our favorite Italian food, just a few blocks from our Friday night welcome party. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are unbeatable.
Walrus Rodeo: The food is as unexpected as its name suggests, but hits every time.
Boia De: Walrus Rodeo’s Michelin-starred sister restaurant located in the same strip mall; super small so a bit of an impossible rez to snag, but worth the effort
Sunny’s Steakhouse: Favorite scene in Miami by far; the only thing better than the vibes is the food.
Lucali: Because you can’t get in in Brooklyn.
Uchi: Amazing sushi in Wynwood, also near the Friday night festivities.
Things to Do
We plan to keep your evenings booked and busy, but if you find yourself with free time and enough energy, here are some ideas while the sun is up (and hopefully out!).
Beach: Your job is beach. The Andaz and most Miami Beach hotels have direct beach access.
Explore the Wynwood Walls: Wander through this vibrant outdoor museum featuring stunning street art and colorful murals. Great Instagram possibilities.
Shop the Design District, Bal Harbour Shops or Faena Bazaar: The best shopping anywhere; whether you need an emergency bathing suit or realize you only brought a white dress, Miami shopping has whatever you need and more.
Walk the Boardwalk: Stretching the length of Miami Beach, a sunny stroll on this path by the beach will cure whatever ails you.
Take Out Bikes: If, unlike Victoria Dubin, you don’t feel like walking 10+ miles a day, get off your feet and onto some wheels.
Get Some Culture: Visit any one of Miami’s numerous world-class museums or gardens, including, but not limited to: the Pérez Art Museum, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, or Superblue Miami. Save Rubell; you’ll get plenty of time there on Saturday!
